About RipeCrate

Local farms. Ripe data. Your Crate.

Our Mission

RipeCrate is a Massachusetts Public Benefit Corporation. We show restaurants, institutions, and government buyers what local farms grow and make it easy to buy direct. Our mission — promoting thriving local food networks — is encoded in our corporate charter, not just marketing copy.

Core Principles

Free for Farms

Always free for all farms. No exceptions. No hidden fees. No premium tiers. This will never change.

Never Touch Food

No logistics, no delivery, no warehousing. We focus on intelligence and connections. Farms and buyers arrange delivery directly.

Data Freshness

Stale data destroys buyer trust. Every farm profile shows when it was last updated. We check in weekly; listings older than 14 days are flagged.

How It Works

1

Farms share what’s ripe

A farm receives a quick call or text from our AI assistant. They share what they grow, when it’s ripe, and how much. Under 5 minutes, works on any phone.

2

We keep it fresh

Farm updates become searchable, verified supply data. Weekly AI check-ins ensure accuracy. Data older than 14 days is flagged.

3

Buyers discover and connect

Search by crop, radius, season, and certifications. Message farms directly. Build your local supply chain with no middlemen.
